We are a studio built on strong technique, safety, and fun! Our students learn from qualified instructors and guest instructors, have access to CLI Studio content (out of L.A.), the opportunity to compete in local, regional, and national level competitions, and belong to a studio family built on talent, hard work, fun, and safety.

RMDC offers multiple sessions throughout our season for our recreational dancers. That means no more year long commitments!
During regular seasons (please see COVID-19 policy for current updates/modifications), our recreational company members have performance option in December and June.

Competition Division

Our Studio competes in 4-6 competitions per season and brought home national awards for 2022! The opportunity to compete is open to ALL dancers ages 7-adult. The space is limited for the number of pieces we can enter. Students (excluding adult students) must be taking 3 Troupe Classes, and are encouraged to attend an additional ballet and acro class per week.

Dress Code
Dress Code
ALL classes at RMDC has a non-negotiable dress code. Please see the studio with any questions or call 250-996-4094. Students without proper dress code attire and hair secured off their faces will NOT be permitted to participate.
FEMALE DANCERS:
Butterfly Ballet/Tap: pink leotard (may be skirted), pink tights, pink ballet slippers, black tap shoes (mary jane or oxford style), hair secured off face.
Ballet levels 1 and 2: navy blue leotard, pink tights, pink split sole slippers, hair in a neat bun - no top knots, ponytails, etc.Ballet levels 3 & 4: Maroon/Black Cherry leotard, pink tights, pink split sole slippers, hair in a neat bun
Acro: red leotard and footless tights (NO BAGGY CLOTHING), hair secured in a bun or french braid, no top knots, or ponytails.Jazz: leotard and tights or leggings, black slip on jazz shoes. Hair in a bun or french braid - no top knots, ponytails, etc.
Tap: leotard, leggings or tights, hair secured off face (ponytails are acceptable), black oxford tap shoes
COMP DIVISION:
Please refer to your handouts for requirements.
MALE DANCERS:
Ballet: black slippers, black leggings or shorts, white v-neck
Acro: fitted shorts and shirt *Baggy clothing in acro is a SAFETY HAZARD*
Jazz/tap: fitted shirt, and shorts or slim fit athletic wear
Lyrical/Contemp: fitted athletic wear
NO:
- dangling jewelry (earrings, bracelets, watches, rings, necklaces)
- cell phones, tablets, smart watches, etc.

*Please note* there are no refunds unless the studio must close for more than two classes per session (for example if 2 Wednesdays are cancelled then Wednesday classes will receive a discount).
PRICING for Full Session (Jan 10 - March 16, 2023):
Private Lessons: $35 for 45 minutes
30 minute class: $175
45 minute class : $195
60 minute classes: $235
ALL CLASSES also carry a RECITAL FEE of $35 which covers their costume RENTAL, and 1 ticket per student, per class. These fees are charged at the time of registration. This fee may be waived if a child is NOT performing in the recital (they will still learn the choreography) and the studio MUST be notified at the time of REGISTRATION. NO REFUNDS will be given on recital fees or specialty classes (10 week programs) for ANY reason once costumes are ordered.
